Title

An impressive 19th century French Louis Philippe period enfilade buffet handcrafted by skilled artisans in the Brittany region of solid cherry wood with beautifully inlaid lemon wood escutcheons that only add to the authenticity and historical charm, circa 1840s. The rectangular top sits above two long doucine apron drawers over four paneled doors crafted of flaming cherry that open to reveal a spacious interior with a single shelf. Raised on a plinth base with shaped sabot feet. A fine example of the style created during the reign of King Louis Philippe (1830-1848), with strong bold lines and subtle curves that emphasize the geometric quality of Louis Philippe pieces. It will mix flawlessly with traditional and contemporary interiors as well as other period and style pieces. The undeniable elegance and refinement of the lines, along with the extraordinary patina and warm color of the wood, make this antique French Louis Philippe enfilade a fantastic focal accent that will bring a distinguished presence wherever it's placed. With its narrow depth, this versatile enfilade is perfect as a sideboard or server in the dining room, as a foyer piece, or use it as a stylish media cabinet in the family room.
